Training occurs every Monday at 7 p.m. with the company meeting being held on the 4th Monday of the month. When available, we train with mutual aid departments.
In an effort to reduce utility costs, we are no longer using our siren to alert our volunteer firefighters to emergency calls. Our siren is a mechanical siren and needs to be operated once monthly to assure that it operates when needed for weather events. On the 4th Monday of each month at approximately 7pm the siren will operate 2 full cycles. The WEATHER SIREN can be triggered remotely from the 911 center or a fire company line officers radio or manually from within the fire station. This siren will go up and stay up for at least 1 minute prior to coming back down if a weather emergency is imminent. If this siren is activated you should seek appropriate shelter immediately.
